Brownsea Island is the largest of all the Islands within Poole Harbour, access is by Ferry either from Poole Quay or at the entrance of Poole Harbour at Sandbanks via the Brownsea Island Ferry.   The beach at Studland can be seen on the opposite shore of the Harbour, The South West Cost Path National Trail and the Isle of Purbeck starts here, take the short crossing on the Sandbanks Ferry.
